Most every show on U2’s 360 world tour has ended with “Moment of Surrender,” but before walking off stage last night in Nashville, Bono saw a blind fan up front holding a sign saying he wanted to play a song for his wife.
“What do you want to play?” Bono said to him. “Get a guitar for this dude. Gents, we have a surprise guest.” The man said he was really nervous but once handed Bono’s acoustic guitar he began playing “All I Want Is You.”
It started with just Bono on vocals, but soon enough the entire band joined in for a moment the man is unlikely to ever forget. When it was all done, Bono gave him the guitar.
Beautiful
Even I can’t pass up the chance to like & share this u2 story.

30 yrs.
Longevity isn’t a popular term it feels, but every so often you see it in full effect and can’t help but take note. Today is my parents 30th anniversary, and in celebrating that I’m also celebrating the existence of a long-lasting kind of love. Not to say idealistic, nor perfect, nor blissful, but enduring. Meaningful and true-to-it’s-word. I can appreciate these seemingly antiquated ideologies, especially amidst what seems a rather disposable society. For my sister and I, this pairing resulted in us and also a varied and ever-contrastingly opinionated sounding board team. How lucky we are as individuals, she and I, to be the end product of a marriage and constantly benefit from the union of two wholly unique souls. We are happy to stand as a testament to what 30 years navigated together (regardless of how I’m sure it feels at times) can afford a person, and blessed to think that in times of uncertainty our stable and happy inner an outer lives radiate as a beacon. A lighthouse set a ways up ahead, blinking it’s thanks into every night, shining it’s light onto every event that says “this has merit, this was right”.
Forecast.
Summer’s somewhere on the rainy horizon…my daydreams are sun-drenched:
shocking pink lipstains against tan skin
beach waves + high chignons + top knots
concerts + road trips
flouncy skirts + sheer oxford shirts
bbq’s + fedoras
open toe flats + die-cut cut-outs
long walks + jogs
