Today found the ladies of the brood + myself @ the AGO to take a stroll through ancient Egypt + subsequently nosh on a meal chez Frank.
The renovation of the Gallery itself is lovely- the main atrium with light akin to the Louvre, a sumptuously serpentine stairwell, and look-throughs between levels. The exhibit itself left the mind to reel about mankind’s fascinating past ( ie: the movement towards monotheism, innumerable deities, the opulence, the intricate adornments…the list goes on).
Frank was the jazzy cafeteria at the heart of the class-trip zone (+ i don’t mean that disparagingly): portions were on point, as was taste whilst the views- whether of the open kitchen or framed Dundas Street scene- kept you feeling like you were still experiencing art, in a way.
Now I just want to watch National Geographic Egypt specials.
